Fractals speak to me more than any other type of art. They give me the ability to speak, and to live. Our hearts are made of networks of fractals, the blood that flows in and out of our hearts are contained in fractal systems. Even the muscles of the heart are made of fractals. Our DNA is formed from fractals as well. Fractals literally give us all life, thus they give us the life-force we need in order to speak and to even hear sound. Fractals are even used to make music.

So how does this translate into this fractal?

Fractals make my heart sing; from the sheer chaos of their very existence to the flow of their colors. Yet, chaos is only a perception when it comes to fractals, for the end what is chaos is truly order in disguise. Everything about them makes me even more addicted to them. Fractals speak to me. Everything they are represents speaking visually to me. Take this image; I wanted to make something that represented what a fractal means to me. I wanted to portray chaos, passion, an explosion. I wanted to make something that just meant something to me. I wanted to show a collapse and creation at the same time. I wanted to show everything that fractals are and then some. I wanted to show how fractals speak to me.

Yet my fractal is just a little taste of what fractals truly are. I've seen fractals in nature, fractals on the molecular level. Fractals can be mountains, lightning, and branches on a tree. I've walked down paths lit by light and seen how the pole's shadows formed fractals along the path. I've seen fractals created from programs that form spirals that continue past the pixels that were created from. Fractals that swirls and form eddies like water. Fractals that seem like they were formed in space, which look like nebulas, that transcends space. I've seen fractal cities that look like they would glow at night. I've encountered fractals that would fit perfectly into the art periods like that of the gilded age. I've seen even seen fractal landscapes. I've seen movies with planets made of fractals. I've seen mountains formed out of fractals. Fractals are everywhere. Fractals are the very essence of the visual while being the essence of sound as well. They form the perfect merge between the two.

Fractals are everywhere. Everything is comprised of fractals.

Even us.

And our sound.
