I used apophysis, and gimp to bring out the effects a bit more :)

Awesome! I've been working with Apophysis for awhile now, but I can never get anything as defined as that. It's fantastic!

lol, the only reason why its that defined is that I rendered it at 20,000 quality, 1 filter radius, 3 oversample. Then the fractal itself is 4 layers to make it pop. :) Best of luck with it :)
